Anyone who uses a laser gunsight is well aware that there are limitations on the application of the gunsight based on the color of the laser. Red lasers work the best in low to no light conditions as they don't degrade night vision as severely as a white flashlight. A green laser gunsight is optimal for daylight use.
I have been user laser gunsights since they first appeared on the market many years ago. The first was a red laser gunsight, and I noted early on that they weren't optimal for daylight/bright light conditions. So, on the market appears green laser sights, which are great for daylight/bright light condition but can degrade night vision.
But a combination sight using automatically switched lasers wasn't on the market, even manually switched.
I am an Electronics engineer and have had formal laser training, so I came up with a solution, designed and built a working model of my invention. I then applied for and received a U.S. patent.
Serious inquires only. I will initially correspond by email with interested businesses only, not individuals and only companies with a business email. No phone call initially.
I will be interested in a total sale of my patent, or licensing exclusively or non-exclusively.
A user will have a laser gunsight, that once activated, could be used in any lighting conditions with an adjustable switching threshold based on user preference. One laser gunsight for all lighting conditions (day and night). This would prevent having to line up an iron or optical sight to save time and possibly lives. This also greatly aids "snap shooting". My patent for a dual color laser gunsight covers the switching mechanism.

Frequently Asked Questions:
What is the patent based on?
My patent is on the switching mechanism, which operates on the ambient light level. Any color lasers could be used.
Do you have a firearm mountable sight at present?
No, I have a working electronic prototype of the operation, I have no way in my home workshop to miniaturize the circuit or build a suitable small enough housing. Any manufacturer in the business of making weapons laser sights is already set up to so that.
Are any of the components high cost?
No, I built my working model using off the shelf components.
